TIME TO HIT THE ROAD: OCTOBER 14TH AT THE LULA LOUNGEI will be promoting the new record with live dates in the fall but one you definitely want to write down is October 14th at the Lula Lounge in Toronto. This will be my first date in Toronto, the first date after a long absence. I hope that you will join us this particular evening because it is going to be quite the celebration! DOWNTIME: SOME AMUSING AND AMAZING THINGSI have been keeping a blog/journal about the recording process for the Rose Tattoo. Stories from losing my voice to the journey with my mom's illness. I love the fact that I can share the thought process behind a song or lyric. Part of the process is fed by books, music and movies. Here are a few that have been inspiring, motivating and soothing: "The Best of Youth" - I finally saw this film and WOW! The six hours seriously fly by! "I Soliti Ignoti" - This film is HILARIOUS! I think Guy Ritchie was inspired by this one! "The New Earth"/Eckhart Tolle - love his ideas on ego and connecting to self "On Grief and Grieving"/Elisabeth Kubler Ross - one of the best, smartest books on grieving "The Gift of Grief"/Matthew D. Gewirtz - also a smart, simple and forthright book on grieving "Rollin and Tumblin"/ R.L. Burnside - really cool, really cool bluesman. "Goldberg Variations"/Bach played by Glenn Gould - Gould really was a master! |

The Rose Tattoo will be launched in September 2008 with a full online release. Thanks to everyone who has been patient and supportive of the process. It has been an adventurous year, to say the least.
