August 2008 Dear friends... Thursday August 28th, 2008 marks the 45th anniversary of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr's "I Have a Dream" speech. On my upcoming cd release, The Rose Tattoo, I have a song entitled "The Longest Road" that features and honors this poignant, historical speech. In the current times that we live in, through all the destruction and devastation we have been witness to, it is amazing to see how Dr. Kings' words are still relevant. His powerful words for equality and change are still issues we struggle with today.
