 BEST FEMALE VOCALIST NOMINATION AT SMOOTH JAZZ AWARDSThe lovely folks at the Wave 94.7fm have nominated me for Best Female Vocalist at their upcoming Canadian Smooth Jazz Awards to be held on April 24th, 2009 at the Living Arts Centre in Mississauga, Ontario.
Winners are selected by voters. As for January 12th to February 22nd, 2009 you can go on to the website and vote for your favourites. Other amazing talent nominated are Greg Kavanagh, Warren Hill, Chris Smith, to name a few.

INSIDE THE WRITER'S MIND - DANIELA'S BLOG
I have really taken to the blog format. I love the idea of sharing the ramblings in my mind, not only for narcissistic satisfaction, but to open dialogue and discuss ideas. From arts to current events to favourite books, interviews with other artists and podcasts - all is out in the open to be discussed. SNEAK PREVIEW FOR 2009 - VIDEOS AND SHOW DATES
I have been working with film director/producer Grant Padley on videos from her live performance at the Lula Lounge in October as well as, a new video for the song "Dear Em". We had loads of fun romping around the muddy corn fields in Hamilton. Check out my website and blog for stills and notes of the shoot.

2008 has certainly been most eventful for me. As the year draws to a close, I want to take the time to wish everyone a very happy and healthy holiday season. These times may be a little uncertain as our economy finds its way again, as our world leaders find their way again, as we all find a new way again. The one thing though, music is always the soothing soundtrack needed in our lives. So, let the players play on...
