Excerpt from "SMOOTH AND UNDERSTATED - LIKE GOOD JAZZ" (Globe and Mail)

Daniela Nardi - Globe and Mail ArticleShe won Female Vocalist of the Year at the 2009 Canadian Smooth Jazz Awards in April. And the recognition threw the Toronto singer and songwriter into the spotlight. Music comes naturally to Daniela Nardi – and so does driving.
"I feel like I came out of the womb driving because on my first driving lesson, my instructor said, ‘Do you want to go for your licence now? You're ready.' I guess I had a lot of practice driving my father's golf cart when I was younger." She started at the age of five.

SOME AMUSING AND AMAZING THINGS
I've been primarily in business mode however, the muse has been biting at my heels. A couple of books I have on the go plus a film or two to liven up the spices in my creative stew.
Film: "UP" - WOW! 3D has always made me nauseated but the technology has come so far and the story development is touching, creative and innovative! SQUIRREL!
Book: "Letters to a Young Poet" - Rainer Maria Rilke. An oldie but a goodie and a wonderful reminder about paying attention to our creative impulses.
Book: "Tracking the Gods - The Place of Myth in Modern Life" - James Hollis. First of all, James Hollis rocks. Second of all, this is a great illustration on how myths reflect archetypal roots of our psychology and how ancient drives can often dominate our behaviour. Egghead? Yes.
Music: Ron Davis' "Symphronica" - WOW, again! Ron's melodic, energetic and innovative pieces set to orchestra. Coming to a symphony near you - soon, we hope!! And, Sirius 35, the chill station - catching up on what's hip in the chill/electronica world!
